Europeans have come to this area for centuries to enjoy its natural wonders. Americans are only now beginning to discover this European gem. |
 | 2) Alsace (France) Land of castles and cathedrals, mountains and vineyards, picturesque villages, warm people, great food and a lot of history. Another destination that the clever Europeans have kept a secret from the American tourists as long as possible. We've been there several times and always have the desire to return for more. |

 | 4) Cinque Terre (Italy) Charming fishing villages on the Italian Riviera, with great hiking trails and incredible seafood. |
 | 5) Rome This is not an undiscovered gem, of course, but we try to show some sights you might not see in the mainstream travel guides. |
